Why I created FreeAlps
Native to the Swiss mountain resort of Villars-Gryon, I grew up on skis and my ski racing skills took me to the level of Europa Cup competition. Frustrated by never having time to explore the wonderful areas that the hectic ski racing circuit introduced me to, my inner explorer prevailed. Over the next 30 summers, I trekked through Pakistan, India, Nepal and closer to home in the Swiss, French and Italian Alps. During the winters I worked as a ski and snowboard instructor at the Ecole Suisse de Ski of Villars, where in acknowledgement of my expertise, I was appointed official trainer of the snowboard instructors.
More recently, I decided to harness all my knowledge, experience and expertise, by founding the FreeAlps company in order to share my passion for the mountains. With my extensive network of partners, all devoted to alpine hospitality, I now offer, with FreeAlps bespoke adventures in Switzerland, Italy, France and the Himalayas.

The company headquarters are located in Gryon, just 90 minutes drive (120 kms) from Geneva airport.
